    Yeah don't do like more than half of any of this and don't use tools from harbor freight 😅 the punch sets fine maybe some things but those pics you do not want to pick at your bolt there's a all-in-one tool for AR-15s it's like a 12 and 1 tool Bass pro that one tool is better than anything you'll buy at harbor freight

      The underlying principle is that if the hammer is in the down position, it indicates one of two scenarios: *A)* the chamber is empty, or *B)* the round that was in the chamber has been discharged. Furthermore, in a military specification AR, the trigger operates on a single action mechanism, meaning the trigger cannot be pulled unless the hammer is in the cocked position.

    The correct placement is wherever is best for you, but I prefer toward the back, right in front of the rear iron sight/buis. That way, the off-side eye sees less of the side of the optic, so the field of view is less cluttered with both eyes open.

    A couple things to note here - #1 I'm not a gunsmith I've just been around them my entire life and worked on rental equipment since I was a kid and done a lot with my hands so I would trust this guy more than myself on GS stuff but #2 Rockset is a bit sketchy, if you look at reviews you'll see a lot of people have trouble getting it off so I would do more research before using that. #3 grease and threadlockers will both change your torque specs as opposed to clean and dry threads so just be aware that when tightening something to 30 in/lbs it'll actually be like 40 in/lbs if you're using a thread locker or grease, that isn't an exact number but torq tist chhanel (not correct spelling because YT likes to delete my comments that actually provide sources for knowledge, just use the correct spelling for those words) has a vid on it and also the inverse is true if the threads are dirty. Anyway hopefully that helps someone

    • @G2niverse
      @G2niverse 20 днів тому

      great info. rocksett is hard to get off and thats why you only use it for suppressed muzzle devices. The temp point is soo ridiculously high that youll lose the temper of your steel (slightly exaggerating, but pretty close) before you can get it off. If I'm using it, i don't want that thing going anywhere....ever. And i agree with you on the thread locker...i RARELY use it, because there really is no advantage to if you are torquing to correct spec. vibratite is ok IMO since its not technically thread locker.

      @@G2niverse thank you sir for your kind reply. If you could be so kind can you please help me. I own a an old bettinardi carbon steel putter which I use and it’s my favourite putter. It has begun to rust, and I don’t have access to special chemicals etc where I live. Can you please suggest something to remove the rust and get a coating on it like gun metal etc. Thanks so much

    • @G2niverse
      @G2niverse 25 днів тому

      the easiest way to do this is to remove the head from the shaft. You can buy golf club head epoxy on amazon to put it back when you're done. To remove the rust, soak the head in vinegar and baking soda for about 24 hours. Then rinse in cold water to neutralize the reaction. Dry it and use either a red 3m sanding pad or a 1x30 sanding belt to smooth and remove any finish. Once you have it all cleaned up, use a degreaser to fully clean the head (wear surgical gloves so you don't get oils from your hands on the clean surface). Then to get the gun metal coating, buy on amazon Birchwood PermaBlue. making sure nothing it touching the surface of the putter, heat it up with a hair dryer then apply the perma blue using a cotton ball (wear gloves). Keep rubbing on more until you get the desired color you want. Then rinse in cold water to neutralize the bluing agent. A light coat of motor oil every 2-3 weeks will keep your putter in good condition.
