Great content just found your channel and subscribed
Welcome!
Yeah don't do like more than half of any of this and don't use tools from harbor freight 😅 the punch sets fine maybe some things but those pics you do not want to pick at your bolt there's a all-in-one tool for AR-15s it's like a 12 and 1 tool Bass pro that one tool is better than anything you'll buy at harbor freight
Thanks, I am having stove pipe issues intermittently with a Full Auto. I'll swap bolts.
Great review and to the point. Super cool carbine. That trigger reset really bothers me 😂
US Army marksmanship manual say red dots should be mounted as far forward as possible to get the best FOV
It needs to be put where it works for your vision and your own personal body position.
USA has no BALLS.👎
I would love to have won the gun tool package. Any way to run this again? I am in a hole and don’t have the extra money to just go out and put this all together. Please let me know. I will save this video for future reference
This video must be for all those that were never trained in the military and decided to rely on the internet to build an AR.
you say that like gun safety is common knowledge.
Nice work
Ok so i have a piston driven one that wont eject. The bolt wont go all the way back on the eject and the gas port is all the way open.
Bought an American Tactical second hand and the rail would shift 1/4" to left. Come to find out the barrel nut was finger tight with maybe a little extra. It was tight but broke it loose by hand. Would not recommend them for anything.
This guy has his selector on fire lmao
Curious, since you're an ar expert... how do you rack safe your firearm with the safety selector in the "safe" position?
@@G2niverse The AR-15 is designed in such a way that the safety selector can only be switched to the “safe” position when the firearm is cocked.
The underlying principle is that if the hammer is in the down position, it indicates one of two scenarios: *A)* the chamber is empty, or *B)* the round that was in the chamber has been discharged. Furthermore, in a military specification AR, the trigger operates on a single action mechanism, meaning the trigger cannot be pulled unless the hammer is in the cocked position.
Im fully aware and versed in every function of the AR platform. I store all of my ARs in "rack safe". I was trying to make a point to the troll @angryllamaattack
So what? You afraid a bullet will fly through the screen or something?
5 years no lubrication on my AK. I'm doing it now though with a clean. Just sent 350 rounds no problem before watching this. Over 3k without lubing 😂
I mean let's be real... people who run an ak know it doesn't really need it.
well read the damn instructions that come with it
Enlighten everyone here... what are the suggested mounting instructions for eyerelief on a non magnified optic? I've yet to find them in the manual.
What handguard is that? Looks great for a hunting rifle build Im making
It's called a free float bull barrel handguard. Yankee hill. It's a great minimalist choice when you don't need a rail system.
@@G2niverse Kind of reminds Me of a tack-driving Olympic K8 I used to own!
I did enjoy your greasy clip and like to thank you for the little 'hammer-trick' since my brand-new unused AK-47 likes to flip fingers at me when it comes to the re-assembly part - take care and keep shooting safely!
Harbor Freight recently had the 6" Magnetic Part Trays on sale for $1.99
Worth it just for the magnet alone.
@@G2niverse - I have a 3" Mag Tray, so I didn't even need one, but for $1.99, I bought one anyway.
My ZPAP85 just did something like that I just got it not even a week long never shoot it yet but I just fixed it with a pair of scissors ✂️ easy fix all I had to do is match the other side with the other side it was easy but a lot of oil on my hands tho
The correct placement is wherever is best for you, but I prefer toward the back, right in front of the rear iron sight/buis. That way, the off-side eye sees less of the side of the optic, so the field of view is less cluttered with both eyes open.
4yrs later.. the prices of these same tools are roughly still the same .. thank you for the great video
Is there something going on when the spent casings being ejected are hitting the deflector so hard that it's damaging the casing? I want to reload.
Thanks, but I'll put mine where I want it
Do you provide the service of refinishing the Ping Zing putter ? I don't have the equipment you do.
A reasonable priced too you will use occasionally does not have to be made of aircraft quality material. If you know how to deal with it, it will work fine.
With the optic further down near the flip up front sight, you get a wider field of view.
What kind of foward grip is that??? And is it considered a vertical grip still and illegal in ca?
Hera arms... no idea, don't live in ca for that exact reason.
This guy really likes talking about his gun's bulge.
That is not an AR-47 damn it man .
lol AR-47 sounds so much better than AR chambered in 7.62x39.
A couple things to note here - #1 I'm not a gunsmith I've just been around them my entire life and worked on rental equipment since I was a kid and done a lot with my hands so I would trust this guy more than myself on GS stuff but #2 Rockset is a bit sketchy, if you look at reviews you'll see a lot of people have trouble getting it off so I would do more research before using that. #3 grease and threadlockers will both change your torque specs as opposed to clean and dry threads so just be aware that when tightening something to 30 in/lbs it'll actually be like 40 in/lbs if you're using a thread locker or grease, that isn't an exact number but torq tist chhanel (not correct spelling because YT likes to delete my comments that actually provide sources for knowledge, just use the correct spelling for those words) has a vid on it and also the inverse is true if the threads are dirty. Anyway hopefully that helps someone
great info. rocksett is hard to get off and thats why you only use it for suppressed muzzle devices. The temp point is soo ridiculously high that youll lose the temper of your steel (slightly exaggerating, but pretty close) before you can get it off. If I'm using it, i don't want that thing going anywhere....ever. And i agree with you on the thread locker...i RARELY use it, because there really is no advantage to if you are torquing to correct spec. vibratite is ok IMO since its not technically thread locker.
After watching you Lube that bolt carrier😮 hello porn hub😅
OF account maybe?
Criterion says to do it though… 👉👈
no idea who or what "criterion" is.
I got the 4-40 tap and 4-40 set screws and after tapping the hole the 4-40 set screw just falls right in i double checked the size of both i dont know why its not catching
Wierd... just go one set screw size up, you should be fine.
My spring has 37 coils like a carbine but it's over 11 in long. Is that okay?
Yeah just like most things in life, longer is OK. Because it's longer, it could be a high powered spring... just keep that in mind off you start to have issues... you could be cycling too fast.
I have the same issue with a G2 in a SA85m. First thing I did was order new springs. Thought I would conduct some internet research on the subject before I go and reinstall with new springs. Cool vid, thanks.
What did it have the atlas logo on it ?
because its a clone
The proper position is whatever works for you.
99.3% 😂😂
This should’ve been a 2 minute vid.
Bro has to make that youtube money
Just get an EZ-Tune Gas tube based on your barrel and rounds you use.
You omitted the Harbor Freight Dual Drum Rock Tumbler... great wet media Brass Cleaner with Stainless steel or ceramic for cleaning brass. You also missed the Sonic Cleaner; it is exactly the same unit Lyman Reloading sells at 3 times the price. I've had both units 10 years, and they work great. I think Dual Drum Tumbler was $39 compare that to Frankford Arsenal @ $120. or Hornady Rotary Case Tumbler @ 250
Great add!
I personally would use synthetic motor oil especially in high heat areas. 🤔
Great job on the video! Very helpful information!
Is the metal used in this putter head beryllium copper?
they vary, the only two ways to tell are the BeCu are not magnetic. The bronze will slightly be magnetic. THe other way to tell is if you use steel wool, the BeCu will turn orangey/red, while the bronze will turn gold.
@@G2niverse thank you sir for your kind reply. If you could be so kind can you please help me. I own a an old bettinardi carbon steel putter which I use and it’s my favourite putter. It has begun to rust, and I don’t have access to special chemicals etc where I live. Can you please suggest something to remove the rust and get a coating on it like gun metal etc. Thanks so much
the easiest way to do this is to remove the head from the shaft. You can buy golf club head epoxy on amazon to put it back when you're done. To remove the rust, soak the head in vinegar and baking soda for about 24 hours. Then rinse in cold water to neutralize the reaction. Dry it and use either a red 3m sanding pad or a 1x30 sanding belt to smooth and remove any finish. Once you have it all cleaned up, use a degreaser to fully clean the head (wear surgical gloves so you don't get oils from your hands on the clean surface). Then to get the gun metal coating, buy on amazon Birchwood PermaBlue. making sure nothing it touching the surface of the putter, heat it up with a hair dryer then apply the perma blue using a cotton ball (wear gloves). Keep rubbing on more until you get the desired color you want. Then rinse in cold water to neutralize the bluing agent. A light coat of motor oil every 2-3 weeks will keep your putter in good condition.
@@G2niverse 🙏
Can the ball bearing be also be used for swing weight ?
it could, but it weighs less that a half gram, pretty much zero effect.
Why not mount it on the barrel ?
Why not the magazine?
Their "watchmakers hammer" has been my go to for a long time. Keep one brass and one nylon end on it and its ready to persuade anything into place.
Perfect for those little ar pins
My gun hates the metal mags
A helpful suggestion for your videos. Nice table, but get rid of it. Use a white plain table. Easier to see what's going on. All those graphics in the background are a big distraction
